If you do not see your child on Instagram, it may be because they do not have clearance. Please call the office if you have any questions about clearance.
Lunch – Eating Outside as Often as Possible
With the nice weather, we will be eating picnic-style with classes as often as possible. Students should have their own sunscreen (that they can self-apply), and can bring bug spray if they wish. Please discuss proper use of both sunscreen and bug spray with your child. Students should have hats and can bring something like a hoodie to sit on.
Gaga Ball Pit Volunteers: Tuesday, June 10 at 5:00 PM
Thank you to Blain, one of our kindergarten parents, for volunteering to oversee the construction of the Gaga Ball pit. We are planning to do the build on Tuesday, June 10 at 5:00 PM; this is dependent on the asphalt installation and the weather.
We will provide pizza and cold drinks for all volunteers. Since students are not present, you do NOT require volunteer clearance to help out. Please reach out to me at mllundgren@cbe.ab.ca or call the school if you can help out.

Portable Moving
As you may have noticed, the portable has been staged for its move to its new home at Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School. Until the portable is moved and the fencing is taken down, Belfast students are not able to access any part of the school playground, field, and garden. We will continue to welcome all students in through the front doors.
School Council & Fundraising Society Recruiting for 2025/2026!
Belfast School Council & Fundraising Society are looking for 4 volunteers to join the executive team as Chair, Treasurer, or Secretary and Casino Coordinator.
These roles are a great way to connect with teachers and administration, help guide how fundraising dollars are spent, and support our school community. Avg. time: 2–6 hrs/month. No experience needed—mentorship provided!

Reminder: Pie-in-the-Face Fundraiser for RMHC
For the next two weeks, students can purchase 4 tickets for $1 in the hopes to pie a staff member in the face! Students can purchase as many tickets as they’d like and put their tickets in the envelope with the staff member’s name of whom they’d like to pie. On May 22 at 9:30, we will have an assembly; at that time, we will draw names from the envelope and that student can pie the staff member! Leadership Club students will be selling tickets each morning, starting on Monday.
Reminder: Space in Kindergarten & Kindergarten Orientation: Thursday, May 22 6:00-7:00
If you have a child coming into kindergarten in September, please join us for our kindergarten orientation on Thursday, May 22, from 6:00-7:00. Even if you are familiar with Belfast and have children already attending, if your younger child is starting kinder in the fall, please join us! At this time, we also have room in our kindergarten class next year for registrations, so please let your friends and family know!
