First Day of Classes
First Day of School – Tuesday, September 2
All Grades 1-6 students begin on Tuesday, September 2 at 8:30, with doors opening at 8:25. Teachers will be outside in the compound/playground area with name signs at 8:15.
Kindergarten starts the same day, but has staggered entry:
- Last Name A-M: 8:30-9:45
 - Last Name N-Z: 10:30-11:45
 
Thanks to School Council, there will be coffee and treats on the playground for parents, starting at 8:30.

School Supplies
Students supplies are provided by the school for children in kindergarten through Grade 6. Families are to provide indoor shoes, backpacks, lunch, and snacks. You may also choose to send your child with a water bottle. Please label all belongings with your child's first and last name.
Getting Ready for Kindergarten
Please provide your child with:
- Indoor shoes to be kept at school
 - Change of clothes – labelled in a zip lock bag preferred
 - Backpack – big enough for the communication folder & library books
 - Healthy snack we are a peanut awareness school no nuts please
 - Water Bottle with name
 - Appropriate clothing for the weather
 - Comfortable clothes for play
 
Clubs & Activities
Learning Technologies & Student Wi-Fi
Digital technologies are transforming how we teach our students. We utilize a range of technology tools to personalize each student’s learning experience, including getting connected to Wi-Fi for seamless access to educational resources.
Off-Site Activities
Keep updated on field-trips and other exciting off-site activities throughout the year. We're excited to expand on learning opportunities by stepping outside of the classroom.

Parent Involvement
There are many ways for you to become involved in your child’s education at Belfast School:
- Talk with your child each day about what they did at school
 - Read: Weekly Update
 - Volunteer in the school or on field trips - on hold till further notice
 - Attend parent-teacher conferences
 - Attend our School Council meetings. Check meeting dates/times on Calendar.
 - Keep up to date on school communications by subscribing to SchoolMessenger
 
About Our School and CBE
- We provide a supportive and caring learning environment with students at the center of all that we do
 - Daily curriculum are taught through various forms of Fine Arts
 - We utilize technology as an integral part of the teaching and learning process
 - computers and classroom based technology (Displays/SMARTBoards in every classroom)
 - We have supportive parent volunteers and an active school council
 - Our new entry/dismissal times will be finalized in June and will be posted on this page and also on our Contact Us page.
