At Belfast, we celebrate the performing arts by bringing the entire school together for yearly theatrical productions!

Winter Concerts: Every student performs at both a matinee and evening performance in the winter. Students may sing, play instruments, act, or any combination of the three!

Spring School Musical: Each year, we choose an engaging musical that all students participate in. Some students sing and act, while others work behind the scenes.

  • Auditions & Roles: Students in Grades 3–6 have the opportunity to audition for speaking roles and singing solos, displaying their talents on stage.
  • Set Design, Costumes & Makeup: Our Grades 5/6 students take creativity to the next level by designing and constructing stage backdrops and props as part of their Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) option classes. They also help design costumes and apply actor makeup, ensuring a fully immersive theatrical experience!
  • Graphic Design & Promotion: As part of the production process, Grades 5/6 students will develop graphic design skills by creating promotional posters, material requests, show programs, and tickets—giving them hands-on experience in visual communication and marketing.

Through these experiences, students build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the arts!

Previous Musical Productions

The Aristocats (2024-2025)

Last year, every student played a part in bringing “The Aristocats” to life!  From singing in a chorus, to acting as one of the main roles, to working behind the scenes, it was an incredible student-led performance!
