Dear Belfast Families,

We have wrapped up our amazing Artist-in-Residence with Ewa Sniatycka and can’t wait to show our families what each class has been working on; in the meantime, please ask your child what they have learned and created with Ms. Ewa over the past few months.  Stay tuned on Instagram to see summaries from each class!

As we wrap up this artist residency, we begin a new residency in PEW next week with Decidedly Jazz Danceworks.  We would not have any of these enrichment opportunities at Belfast if it wasn’t for our School Council & Parent Fundraising Society.  Thank you to everyone who donates their time to be a part of these two important groups!

Follow us on Instagram!

We encourage all our families to follow our school’s Instagram account (@BelfastSchoolcbe) and visit our school website to see pictures from the week.  If you do not see your child on Instagram, it may be because they do not have clearance.  Please call the office if you have any questions about clearance.

School Council Executive Positions for Next Year

As you all know, we have an absolutely amazing School Council and Parent Fundraising Society at Belfast School; however, many of the executive members are about to complete their second year, which is the maximum consecutive amount of years they are allowed to be in that role.  We will be looking for people to take over key positions like Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer for the 2025-2026 school year.  Our current executive is very competent and organized and will ensure the new people coming in are set up for success.

If you are interested in a role on the board, or would like to learn more, please visit our School Council webpage here or email our current Chair, Kim Buchanan, at belfastparentcouncil@gmail.com.  Our next Council meeting will be April 29 at 6:30 (online) if you would like to see what the roles look like in action.

Rescheduled Family Movie Night – Thursday, May 1

Now that the CUPE strike has ended, we are able to host evening events again.  Our movie night has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 1.  Check your child’s backpack on Monday for ticket ordering sheets.  We will offer four movies and have a concession.  We hope to see you all there!

Spring Clubs – Dress for Success!

We will be starting spring clubs next week, and many of these are outdoor clubs.  Please ensure your child comes dressed to be outside.  We will be outside unless it is unsafe to do so.
