Dear Families,
We’re excited to kick off the 2026–2027 school year with you and can’t wait to welcome your child(ren) back next week!
School begins on Monday, August 31st at 8:30 a.m. All staff will be outside, and teachers have already shared welcome emails and will meet your child at their designated meeting spot. The Belfast School Council will be at the playground to offer coffee to Belfast families. All are welcome!
Daily Schedule & Punctuality
- Soft-Entry (8:25 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.): Beginning Tuesday, September 1st, students enter during this window to put away belongings, settle in, and begin a morning task. Attendance is taken at 8:30 a.m.
- Late Arrivals: If students arrive after 8:30 a.m., they must report to the office to sign in.
Why arriving on time matters:
- Gives students time to review the daily schedule
- Allows time to connect with peers for a smoother transition
- Boosts academic performance and builds healthy lifelong habits
Traffic Safety
As you bring your child to school, please remember the importance of punctuality and road safety. We ask all families to strictly follow traffic safety laws around Belfast School. Please refrain from dropping off, picking up, and parking in the staff parking lot to ensure student and staff safety.
Bus Zones are located on 17A street NE, and are marked by signage. Please be mindful of the accessible bus zone and refrain from parking or stopping along this section of the street.
Student Expectations & Policies
Please review these important expectations with your child before the first day:
- Student Code of Conduct: Governed by CBE guidelines. Linked is the current version and the updated regulation will be shared once available.
- Lunchtime Student Expectations: Staying for lunch is a paid service requiring students to follow all school rules.
- Safety and Conduct on the Bus: CBE transportation is a paid service requiring respectful, courteous behavior.
MyCBE, Forms, & School Fees
Over the coming days, please log into your MyCBE portal to complete important demographic/consent forms and pay student fees. For information about school fees, transportation fees, lunchroom supervision fees, and school fee waivers, please visit the CBE website.
- Note on Lunch & Transport Fees: If your child stays for lunch or rides the bus, mandatory fees apply and can be paid in installments through your account by the end of the school year.
