Dear Belfast Families,
Thank you for all of the support that you have shown our teachers as we return to work under challenging circumstances. We always feel supported by our Belfast families, and of course we all feel better when we are with the students learning and laughing. Relationships are the basis for all that we do, and during difficult times, those relationships become even more valuable and appreciated. Thank you!
I would also like to thank our incredible support staff who worked hard while the school was closed. From deep cleaning, to organizing; from material preparation to completing professional learning modules, our support staff went above and beyond to set up students and teachers for success upon our return. Thank you!

Dental Check Ups – Grades 2 and 6
Belfast students in Grades 2 and 6 have the opportunity for free dental check-ups from The Alex Dental Bus which will come to Belfast School in the coming weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about dental health and receive treatments – free of cost. Forms were sent home with all Grades 2 and 6 students in late September. Please call the office if you require a new form.
New Sensory Room Being Built at Belfast – Thank you to IODE!
IODE (Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire) is a national women’s charitable organization. For 125 years, IODE has given back to the community in various ways: through scholarships, food boxes, volunteer hours, caring for war memorials, and by supporting schools. You can learn more about this incredible organization here
IODE adopts schools and meets with administration to figure out what the school could use. Belfast is so fortunate to be one of those lucky schools! The organization has donated funds to build a new sensory room in our former conference room. The space will be a safe spot for students to regulate, take a break, and reset before returning to class. Construction of the new room begins on Wednesday – stay tuned on Instagram for updates!
Student Teachers at Belfast
We are pleased to welcome two student teachers to Belfast, starting on Monday. Mr. Gill will be in the Grade 3/4 classrooms, and Ms. Grewal will be working with Mr. Ursenbach.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have anything you would like to share.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Meagan Lundgren
Principal
