Dear Belfast Families
Thank you to everyone who attended our Remembrance Day assembly this morning.  We have such a supportive Belfast community, and we loved seeing all of the extended family members in the audience as well.  Thank you to Mr. Ursenbach for creating and delivering
such a beautiful assembly.  Our students were well-prepared, performed exceptionally well, the audience was respectful, the tone was solemn, and everyone took time to honour the sacrifices made by our veterans, including our Indigenous veterans.
As a reminder, we do not have school again until Thursday, November 14, due to the system Professional Learning Day and Fall Break. We hope you and your children find time to rest, rejuvenate, and spend time with one another.
Follow us on Instagram!
We encourage all our families to follow our school’s Instagram account (@BelfastSchoolcbe) and visit our school website to see pictures from the week.  If you do not see your child on Instagram, it may be because they do not have clearance.  Please
call the office if you have any questions about clearance.
Slurpee Day: Fundraiser for Veteran’s Food Bank – November 22
On Friday, November 22, students can bring $2 to school and enjoy a slurpee from our neighbourhood 7-11. Half of the proceeds from every Slurpee sold will go to the Veteran’s Food Bank. Thank you to Rikki, one of our moms, who helped to make this fundraiser happen!
Laundry Soap Donations
Leadership Club is collecting laundry soap and dryer sheets for the Veteran’s Food Bank.
Students can bring donations to the front foyer throughout the rest of the month.  The Veteran’s Food Bank wants us to remind families that dollar stores are a great place to purchase inexpensive laundry soap.
Thank you for helping out!
Spirit Days in November
Leadership Club has planned two spirit days for the month of November:
- Friday, November 15 –Anything but a Water Bottle Day. Last year, we did “Anything but a Backpack Day” and this year, it’s water bottles. What creative (and safe) item can your child bring their water to school that is NOT a water bottle?
 - Friday, November 22 – Colour Day. Dress head to toe in one colour – you choose the colour!

Reminder: Conferences - November 28 & 29
All parents are invited to book a conference with your child’s teacher. Please use the MyCBE portal to book your conference. If you have trouble booking, please
see this link or contact the office.
Reminder: Save the Date: Winter Concert December 12
All students will be performing at our Winter Concert on Thursday, December 12.  We will have two shows: one at 10:15 AM and one at 6:30 PM. Due to space constraints, we ask that only immediate family come to the evening performance; grandparents and other
extended family members are encouraged to come to the afternoon performance.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have anything you would like to share.
Have a wonderful fall break,
Meagan Lundgren
