Dear Belfast Families,
We have had a wonderful start to our
2024-2025 school year: our returning students are excited to be back, and I have spoken with many new students who say it already feels like home.  Belfast School is known for its sense of community, and as a staff, we are committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging and connection through purposeful planning and opportunities.
From coffee on the playground on the first day, to our Welcome Back BBQ last week, we want both students and families to feel welcomed in our school.  We have an incredibly generous Parent Fundraising Society that funds many of our initiatives, a School Council that
offers guidance and parent voice during decision-making, and a motivated staff that genuinely care about students.  Thanks to all your parenting efforts, our school is also filled with kind, compassionate, and welcoming students.  We all have a role to play when it comes to ensuring Belfast School continues to be a “gem” of a school for many years to come.
If you have a suggestion for other ways Belfast School can continue to foster a strong sense of community, we would love to hear from you! You can email me at mllundgren@cbe.ab.ca or call the school to chat.
For those of you returning, welcome back to Belfast!  For those new to us, we are so excited to have you join our
Belfast family.
I wish you all a wonderful 2024-2025
school year!
Meagan Lundgren, Principal
